The basic game just has cars that have 6 hit point before they are destroyed, but the paid expansion (and already one of the stretch goals for the KS) has damage cards more like X-wing, that can affect aspects of play. Maneuvering is done by laying out a path of cards. Each player runs one or more vehicles, assigning dice types to his 'dashboard' which then are used to perform various actions.
